For the last two weekends we have been busy hosting some very special guests. Santa himself, joined by his elves and Mrs Claus, has been visiting the Folk Park to see the children for Christmas.
Many families attended the event and Santa was thrilled to meet so many children and find out what they hoped to receive for Christmas. He gave each child a special gift to take home.
During the event the Folk Park hosted an array of Christmas activities. Visitors attended the ‘Elves School’ where the Elves were wrapping presents and going through their ‘naughty or nice’ list. They paid a visit to Mrs Claus and her sister who were telling stories and dancing and rocking to Christmas carols. 
Afterwards, visitors could drink hot chocolate while visiting our live crib with sheep and a donkey.
In Santa’s grotto there was more fun to be had where the elves were keeping everyone entertained with activities such as making magic reindeer food, writing letters to Santa and writing wishes to hang on our Christmas wishing tree.
Thank you to everyone who attended and for those who took the time to give us your feedback which was overwhelmingly positive. Thank you also to all the volunteers who made the event what it was.
We had a magical time ourselves and can’t wait to do it all again next year! (Covid restrictions permitting)
