Everyone likes a good scare around Halloween and there’s nowhere better than “A Scare in the Park” at Sligo Folk Park on Wednesday 30th October. It’s packed to the gills with scary skeletons, ghosts, ghouls and (slightly) frightening fun for everyone, particularly 2-12 year olds. It’s a chance for the whole family to dress up in their most creative costume (there’s prizes) and enjoy scares, dares and fearsome fare in Riverstown. New this year is the Scarecrow Competition.
Where’s the best place to meet Santa? In Santatown of course! Come to Sligo Folk Park on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th December and see it transformed into Santatown with twinkling lights and the Wishing Tree.
Sligo Folk Park is a 30-year-old social enterprise which celebrates Irish heritage and rural life from the late 19th century and on Friday November 22nd will host the National Social Enterprise Forum & Expo from 10am to 3.30pm. Enjoy the last Summer holiday weekend with the family at Summer In The Park in Sligo Folk Park on Sunday 25th August. It’s easy on the pocket too; an all-inclusive festival where everything is free with your admission ticket, from the BBQ to face painting, arts, music and heritage games.
