Welcome to the Sligo Folk Park in Riverstown, County Sligo
Sligo Folk Park is located in the beautiful village of Riverstown, County Sligo. This community based attraction provides a true experience of rural life and Irish heritage at the turn of the 19th Century. The Folk Park is set in the grounds of the authentically restored Millview House, which was originally built in 1873 by George Reid a farmer, shoemaker and the local church sexton. Stroll around the park and visit the wonderful museum and evocative exhibition hall which houses one of Ireland’s finest collections of rural history and agricultural artefacts.
Catering to all ages and group sizes, Sligo Folk Park has something for everyone. With a vast array of different exhibits and 6 acres of mature, landscaped gardens, a visit to Sligo Folk Park is the trip down memory lane everyone can enjoy. We are located 15 minutes from Sligo Town and from Boyle in County Roscommon.

*Children under 4 go free.
**Children under four are not included when calculating the family rate. There is a charge of €5 for every additional child between the age of four and sixteen years.
OUR EVENTS
We are delighted to host a variety of events down through the years from our annual Santatown to our famous Halloween “Scare in the Park”.
We also have a host of other events for the little kids to enjoy on our 6 acre site. From our Easter Egg Hunt to our Teddy Bears Picnic these are guaranteed to be a fun filled day for the whole family.
As pre-booking is necessary we would advise to book tickets in advance as there are limited spaces available.

For just €40, you can become a Friend of Sligo Folk Park. Your FOSFP card will provide free entry to the Folk Park for you and your family (up to “2 Adults and 2 Children) for twelve months. More than that, you will gain the satisfaction of knowing you are helping a community-run project to continue providing a much needed historical and cultural hub in the heart of beautiful Riverstown.
