Learning Through Living History

A visit to Sligo Folk Park is one of the most immersive and enjoyable ways for students to connect with Irish history and rural heritage. Set across six acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, the park brings the story of everyday rural life to life in a way that no textbook can.

During your school tour, students will explore our heritage museum and traditional buildings, discover hidden artefacts throughout the park, play traditional Irish games, and follow our nature trail through the grounds. Refreshments are provided as part of the school tour package.

Sligo Folk Park is a fully enclosed site with step free access throughout the main areas of the park, making it suitable for students of all abilities. Ample coach parking is available on site.

Our tours are suitable for primary and secondary school groups and can be tailored to complement your curriculum. We are happy to discuss your specific requirements in advance of your visit.

Group Visits

Whether you are organising a trip for a community group, a heritage society, a corporate outing, or a private tour, Sligo Folk Park offers a warm welcome and a truly unique experience.

Our site is fully accessible, with ample parking for coaches and private vehicles. Our team is on hand throughout your visit to ensure everything runs smoothly and that every member of your group gets the most from their time with us.

We recommend booking group visits in advance to ensure availability and to allow us to prepare for your arrival. Group rates and bespoke tour options are available on request.
